Parisha has a B.S. in Molecular Biology and Communications from Juniata College and a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics and Cell Biology from The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She completed post-baccalaureate research at the National Cancer Institute and her post-doctoral training in the Epigenetics Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. She has formally served on various admissions and scholarship committees for multiple academic institutions. Since 2013, she has advised high school, college, and graduate students with undergraduate, medical school, graduate school, and medical residency applications and admissions.
Parisha has honed her tutoring, mentoring, and teaching skills for two decades, and continues to evolve her pedagogical approach. She is passionate about getting to know her students, helping them navigate challenging exercises (like applying to school!), and empowering them with skills that extend beyond the dedicated work.
When Parisha is not working one-on-one with a student or in the lab or teaching class, you can find her reading the latest selection for her book club, undertaking some kind of building project, or alongside her spouse on the sidelines of a youth soccer game, cheering on their small humans.
